Class Salutatorian Shares The Gospel In His Graduation Speech
The graduation season is here again for all schools and Universities. It’s deemed as one of the most important and once-in-a-lifetime events for a person. People celebrate such a day in various ways and make it memorable. But for William Dunson, a Boswell High School Salutatorian in Fort Worth, Texas, he chose to glorify God in such a powerful way.

On May 25, in William’s speech as the class Salutatorian, he boldly shared God’s love with his fellow graduates. The young man brazenly acknowledged God and told his listeners how much God loves them.

“There is a God who made you with a purpose,” he said. “This God loves you deeply and He desires a personal relationship with you.”
William then remarked that having a relationship with God meant that “He can set you free from your pain and suffering.” Moreover, he explained how Jesus came to earth and laid down his life to save man from their sins.
“This God became a Man and willingly died for you,” he added. “He died for you so that you might be free from your shortcomings and failures.”
A Message To Seek God
And while William shared the truth, he clarified that he didn’t want them “to follow any sort of religious regimens.” He shared that one doesn’t need to strive to be good enough for God or to earn salvation. Instead, the Class Salutatorian pleaded “to simply seek God with no strings attached.”
“I’m pleading with you, in your darkest moment, your darkest hour, to simply seek God with no strings attached,” he told them. “See what He does in your life and your soul, when you find Him.”
Furthermore, William remarked that Jesus is the answer to people’s pain. Even amidst struggles, fears, failures, and sorrows in life, hope could be found in Him.
