Phil Wickham
Worship leader Phil Wickham was a guest on Fox News recently to talk about his hit song “House of the Lord” and his journey as a Christian musician. The chart-topping recording artist grew up in a Christian home. Both his parents served the Lord as worship leaders. Phil got his first guitar at the age of 12 as a gift from his father.
“My parents have been worship leaders as long as I’ve been alive,” he recalled. “So, music and Jesus and church were always a part of my life. It wasn’t until I started playing guitar and singing these songs that I was singing in church that I started that relationship with God myself.”

“House of the Lord”
His hit song “House of the Lord” which was released in 2021 has now been translated into several languages. It has now become an anthem in churches worldwide. Phil expressed how humbled and honored he is for his song’s success.
“The more time that goes on, the more people that joined in and sing, the more honored and humbled I am that I get to do this.”
He even shared how he was moved by seeing hundreds of people singing about God and lifting praise.
“Last night, we were at Richmond, Virginia before tonight, and it’s just filled with a bunch of people for sure not singing about, it’s just a bunch of people singing about how we believe God saved us through His Son Jesus, and lifting up praise for that.”
