Dog The Bounty Hunter Opens Up His Story: ‘I Know God Is Absolutely Real’

Duane Chapman, well-known as “Dog The Bounty Hunter” shared his story with a Christian outlet acknowledging that “God is absolutely real” because of his experiences.

Behind the strong man that most people have known him for “chasing down criminals,” is a man who genuinely loves God. With the platform that God entrusted him, he used them to lead others to know Christ.

In an interview with CBN News, Duane recalled his childhood days when he was raised in a Christian home. His mother was a prayer warrior who brought him to church. As a young boy, he attended church Sunday services and youth camps.

“I knew more than most people did, right from wrong, miracles of God — I knew all that,” he recounted.

Went To Prison

However, later in Duane’s life, he went down the road and traversed a crooked path despite knowing God. He revealed the moment when he went to prison during the 70s. He joined robbers in breaking “into a man’s home in a search for marijuana.” The incident led him to five years and 18 months locked up inside the prison cell.

Several years later, Duane was finally released from the prison. It is when he decided to follow a different path and become a changed man. Soon after, he became the icon in the show “Dog the Bounty Hunter” between 2003 to 2012.

Faith in God

Life was smooth sailing for Duane until his first wife succumbed to cancer in 2019. It was painful but he overcame the struggle by God’s grace. Later, he met his now-wife, Francie. Since then, his faith in God continued to strengthen. Consequently, the Christian author realized that the darkest moments in his life led him closer to God.

“I know God is absolutely real,” he remarked. “I know that God told me years ago … ‘I’m going to show you miracles beyond [anything] that you could imagine, think, or want.’”

Then, he added, “My faith has grown ever since Beth passed away about five years ago and I met Francie.”

Today, Duane and his wife are sharing the good news with others. They build up each other in faith and trust in God. Duane has also written a new book titled, “Nine Lives and Counting: A Bounty Hunter’s Journey to Faith, Hope, and Redemption.”

A motorist shared a life-changing moment in the courtroom as he testified that God is real.

A Motorist Shares A Life-Changing Moment

This motorist was being questioned about a school zone violation.

He now works for a Christian newspaper publisher. “I publish a newspaper. A Christian newspaper, The Good News Today,” he said.

But looking at his past, he has had a tough life.

Judge Frank Caprio told him, “You’re charged with a school zone violation on Hope Street. You’re one mile over what I’ve been dismissing. I’m going to give you a break on the one mile.”

When asked about his life, Lawrence then started testifying about how the Lord changed him.

His Former Life

“I used to be a drug addict and a drug dealer. I did all the wrong things myself in life. But as a result of turning to God, my life really turned quite drastically,” he said.

“Well, I want to congratulate you,” was the judge’s reply. And then asked, “Was there one event in your life that caused you to turn your life around?”

“I wouldn’t say there was one. It was a culmination of many things, you know. Going through divorce, getting arrested for drunk driving. Too many mornings waking up where I didn’t know where I was. And then all of those things add up after a while and you either go deeper and jump off of a bridge or you open your eyes and start to look and see what’s real in life,” he shared.

God Is Real

The judge was inspired by his story. So, he asked Lawrence if there was any advice he could give to everyone listening.

“The best advice that I would give myself or anybody is that you have to understand that you can’t escape. You can’t escape problems that you create for yourself. And we all have to take personal responsibility for our actions and everything that we do. And the only way that I was able to do that was by turning my life to God. You know, I hundred percent just realized God was real.

“I woke up one morning and I was ready to give up. I had lost my wife, had lost a vehicle from drunk driving, got in an accident and totaled it. And something inside me cried out to God. “I don’t know if You’re real or not, but if You are, I need to know.”

“And it was like somebody walked over to the wall and turned the light switch on. And my life started to change that day,” he concluded.

Woman Stopped Believing God Was Real

This woman was invited by her friends to go to church, but she really didn’t want to be there. She just agreed because her friends asked. So, when she was called to the front, she was very reluctant to respond.

The reason why she was hesitant was because she had been hurt before. But she curious to see if Jesus was actually real.

Pastor Daniel Adams asked, “Have you ever met Jesus before?” And she answered, “Doubt it.”

The pastor shared that God loved her, but she replied, “Well, if it’s real.”

Danny wanted to make the room feel a bit lighter, so he jokingly said, “If it’s real? What’s going on in this place! Either I’m a crazy half-nut dude or something’s happening. My wife said that’s partially true,” and everyone laughed.

Woman Stopped Believing God Was Real, But His Love Changed Her

Danny didn’t want to force her to believe in Jesus. However, he continued to share his testimony of how God’s love changed his life.

“He will love you even if you don’t want Him to because He’s just that good. Look at me. Why am I doing this? I could be doing other things. But I’m here doing this for some reason. I must have met God somewhere. I’m an ex-cage fighter, I’m an ex-everything. I could be doing a whole lot of other stuff,” he said.

The woman wasn’t convinced. She said, “This is ridiculous.”

Danny prayed for her, and thankfully, she agreed.

God’s Love Shown Through Prayer

“You’re precious, girl. Lord, I know You love this girl. And I know she’s going through stuff like we all have. But Lord, she says she’d believe it if it were real. So, Lord, the big thing we’d like You to do is to tell her You love her,” he prayed.

And suddenly, she began to cry.

Danny continued, “Show her who she really is. Open her eyes to see and ears to hear how precious she is to You. Touch her, Holy Spirit. I just pray that You help her, Lord. I pray that she sees it ain’t about that religious stuff but it’s about relationship stuff. And Lord, I pray You’ll walk with her side by side and hand in hand, and show her how close You are to her after today. In Jesus’ name. Amen.”

The Works Of The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit was breaking down her walls and softening her heart. With tears in her eyes, she said, “Thank you.” And her friends welcomed her with a hug when she went back to her seat.

“We don’t push people into wanting Jesus. They have to want Him for themselves. But as believers, we can plant the seed of God in their lives and give them hope to start with,” were the words written in the video.

“Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me” (Revelation 3:20, NIV).

Many people still often wonder whether God is real or not. There are those who questioning if He exists because they can’t see Him and need an encounter with His love and power. This 99-year-old woman is one who has experienced God’s power in her life and is telling the world about it.

In an Instagram video post, she boldly testified that God is real.

When asked if she believed in God she said, “I do because I feel it within me. When I talk to Him, I feel comforted, it’s the truth. And I have seen God work in my life,” she confidently said.

God is real

The faithful granny also quoted Hebrews 11:1 and talked about having faith in God.

“And that’s how we know that He is real. Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things unseen. Isn’t that great?”

May her words speak to those who still have doubts about the Lord. If you have not yet seen God moving in your life, seek the Lord and He will show you His glory.

God Touched A Young Adult Pastor’s Life And Transformed It Forever

A young adult pastor’s life forever changed after several encounters with Jesus.

Growing up in the church, Ben was familiar with God. He knew all the things about Him. But He did not truly walk in intimacy with Him.

“I knew God was real, but He felt very distant from me.” Ben explains in an interview with GOD TV.

As a young adult, he recounts memories of life-changing encounters. One night, he felt a tangible transformation over his eyes and whole spirit:

“All the sudden I felt like almost as if veils came off my eyes. I saw this vision of the ocean as far as you could see. And I knew this ocean was the knowledge of God. This encounter changed everything for me. I realized God was tangible, He was near. And the bible was an invitation to encounter the Lord. Head knowledge became heart knowledge. And when that happened, I was all in.”

Young Adult Pastor’s Life Transformed By Encounters With God

In a powerful encounter, Ben recalls falling into a sleep for 45 minutes. When he woke, he experienced a peace beyond compare.

“I actually experienced the peace that surpasses understanding. Everything else faded away and all I could see was Jesus. You could put a gun to my head and it wouldn’t move me. That’s how deep this peace was. The second thought I had was ‘Jesus must have felt this way all the time.'”

In another encounter, God revealed to Ben how Jesus only can satisfy. “I remember thinking I’ve been eating breadcrumbs my whole life when this feast was available for me. Jesus said to me, “You can have as much of me as you want.”

The Lord is near! We pray that you too encounter Jesus in transformative ways today.

“Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.” (Matthew 5:6)

“Do you think God is real?” a young man asked a complete stranger. When the man answered, his story surprised many people.

Do You Think God Is Real?

An account on TikTok that goes by the handle “60.second.podcast” interviews strangers in 60 seconds.

In one of his interviews, he asked a stranger, “Do you think God is real?”

The man wasn’t surprised by the question. In fact, he was ready to share his testimony.

“Three years ago, I had a blood clot burst in my leg. I went to bed at 9:30. I have a digital clock at the end of my bed. And I woke up at 10:35 because I saw the clock,” the man said.

What he shared next was totally unexpected.

“The Lord Jesus was standing at the end of my bed.”

“Like, you saw Him?”

“He was standing in my bed.”

“Can you describe what He looked like to you?”

Divine Visitation

The man described how Jesus appeared to him that night.

“He looked like a 6-foot-tall hologram. He had light coming out of Him on both sides, about 6 to 8 feet. And the light looked like a rainbow-ish pearlized to it. He was glorious-looking. He has in His face a big black dot that just followed Him wherever He went. I have a blood clot that burst, and I didn’t know it. He came into my room, and I woke up 10 seconds later. And He said, “Son, rest.” Ten seconds later, the thing burst, and there were a hundred blood clots.”

Demonstrating how the blood clots to his body, the man testified how God saved him that night.

“And they started going up and down my legs and my arms. And He walked around my bed for an hour and a half, and supernaturally dissolved them all,” he said.

Do You Think God Is Real?

This man has been a Christian for 35 years. But he didn’t expect God to show up that way.

“In fact, I never prayed to see an angel or God, or anything. It just happened. But I’ve been a Christian for 35 years. Six months after becoming a Christian 35 years ago, I had God speak to me in one day in a voice like thunder. I was about to crack my pants when that happened. I didn’t know he could even do that. But later I read in the book of Job, “Is your voice like the Almighty? Can you thunder like Him?” I didn’t even know it was in the Bible,” he said.

“But I’ve had a lot of encounters with God over the years now. All I can tell you is that people who think it’s a bunch of baloney are going to have quite a wake up call,” he concluded.

The NFL wide receiver of Minnesota Vikings, K.J. Osborn, proclaimed that “God is real” after rescuing a man from a burning car.

In a recent Twitter post, K.J. shared photos of a car accident he witnessed while traveling in Austin, Texas. The caption wrote, “Right Place Right Time.”

Apparently, the NFL player happened to pass by a vehicle that crashed into the pillars of the freeway overpass. Thankfully, four people, including K.J., immediately took action to rescue the driver inside the burning car.

“Most of the time, the saying goes ‘wrong place, wrong time,'” he wrote. “But this time I believe God had me, us, at the right place at the exact right time.”

He also shared photos of the three heroes with him who helped rescue the victim.

“Last night myself and these 3 absolute hero’s helped save a man’s life by rescuing him from a vehicle up in flames after a bad crash,” he said. “A situation I’d never imagine being a part of in a million years.”

In the end, K.J. remarked in his post that “God is real. And His LOVE is real. He will send angels to be camped around you and provide you with his grace and mercy.”

Right Place, Right Time

According to CBN, it was around two in the morning when the incident happened on an expressway. The vehicle crashed into a pole that ignited a flame.

In an interview with K.J. on Monday, he told ESPN he was “visiting friends” in Austin. Then one night, as he traveled in an Uber car, they witnessed an explosion on the road. So, his Uber driver pulled over.

“I didn’t even know if he was alive when we walked up to the car,” he told ESPN. “Without that, I think that car would have burned on fire, and it would have been really tragic.”

K.J. and the three other Good Samaritans were able to pull out the victim from the burning car.

“That’s when I picked him up,” the wide receiver said. “He’s bleeding all over my shirt and everything, and I pick him up and I carry him about 10 to 15 yards so this way we’re away from the car.”

Graffiti On A Pole: Culinary Authors Attest ‘God Is Real’

This season is a huge turn of events for people who constantly see God’s goodness… even if it’s just graffiti on a pole.

A couple that was riding downtown saw graffiti on a pole. The words written on that pole were “God is real”, which could be seen on multiple sides.

On the shared Instagram account of a married couple, Karen and Andrew, both culinary authors, she wrote:

“On our taxi ride downtown this afternoon, Andrew pointed to the graffiti on a pole on Park Ave. in the 40s, which read on multiple sides: #GodIsReal.

“And thanks to The New York Times cover story on Friday (which we posted yesterday) on this month’s biggest spiritual revival in recent history @AsburyUniversity in Kentucky, you don’t just have to take a graffiti artist’s word for it!”

‘Jesus Revolution’

She further shared about the ‘Jesus Revolution’ film that tells the story of the 1970s revival. The story began with hippies looking for love and peace, following Greg Laurie, Lonnie Frisbee, and Chuck Smith. They navigate the spiritual awakening that has drawn thousands to Southern California.

Moreover, Karen wrote, “Tonight, we are joining a friend or two in Manhattan to spontaneously catch a showing of the new film “JESUS REVOLUTION,” based on a true story of the *last* major revival in the 1960s. @JesusRevolutionMovie opened Friday starring @jonathanroumieofficial (Jesus in @TheChosenTVseries) and Kelsey Grammer (“Frasier,” “Cheers”) and has been called “appealing” by Variety and “uplifting” by USA Today, with a “99% Fresh” rating from @RottenTomatoes audience members.”

God is Real

Karen recommended a book for people who want to find a logical reason and evidence of God’s existence.

“And if you’re more of a “reasoned argument” person than a “case study” person, we still highly recommend John Bergsma’s excellent book YES, THERE IS A GOD, which combines scientific evidence, historical facts, and theological arguments that all point to Jesus Christ as Lord.

“We promise you: #GodIsReal indeed. And the whole purpose of life is to get to know God and enjoy God. Which we never even thought possible until we discovered it was!”

She concluded her post with Psalm 86:5 (NIV), “You, Lord, are forgiving and good, abounding in love to all who call to you.”

Encountering God

Does your life with Jesus feel stagnant? When I was 15, I walked into a church and experienced the presence of the Lord. From that moment my heart realized the transformative power of encountering God, not just studying Him. I knew all about the Jesus of the bible, and even prayed to Him, but had not connected to His living presence before.

You Were Made for Encountering the Presence of God

Life altering encounters with Holy Spirit sustain you in your most difficult seasons. Often, just one touch from God is what we need to remind us of who God is and who we are in the midst of struggle.

Encountering God is for everyone. He is not a formula to solve and get access to, He is a person. God has thoughts to share with you. He gives wisdom, encouragement, and correction daily. I believe that as we re-new our minds to understanding that God is Immanuel–God with us–our encounters become even more impactful.

His Presence is Always With You

“For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 8:38-39)

God doesn’t leave you. Because His presence lives in you, there is always access to more of Him. As you bring this to mind, your life together becomes wildly bright and full of vitality. Holy Spirit is a person on the inside of you, meant to transform your heart daily. Encounters lead to the fruit of a life with God. Are you eager for the more of God? I encourage you to ask Him today to bring to your attention how He speaks to you in your daily life. Anticipate God’s nearness, His presence, and power in your life today.

4-Year-Old Girl’s 3 Simple Words Proves God’s Existence

When a mom doubted God’s existence, her 4-year-old daughter’s three simple words proved her wrong.

Doubting God’s existence

Brie Gowen is a devout Christian and a mom of two young kids. She has always believed that God is real and has always loved the Lord. However, there were moments in her life when her mind challenges the existence of God.

“It’s that supremely logical part of your brain that might jump up unexpectedly and whisper, ‘does He really exist. Are you sure,’” she wrote in her blog.

This does happen oftentimes but her doubtful thought would be immediately dismissed by her faith. One day, while her 4-year-old daughter was watching the television, she sat beside her and prayed to the Lord. As she was praying, she again doubted God’s existence. But after doubt passed in her mind, she prayed that God would speak to her heart.

“I’m sorry, Lord. I don’t know why I doubt, but I know I love you,” Brie prayed silently. “Please speak to my heart in a special way, and pour out your Holy Spirit upon me today.”

4-year-old’s words

Brie was then reminded of a verse she read before.

“Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.” -Hebrews 11:1

In just a few minutes since she asked God to speak to her heart, God answered her prayer through her 4-year-old daughter.

“Suddenly, and out of nowhere, my 4-year-old spoke, ‘God is really real,’” she recalled.

The astonished mom then asked her daughter how did she know. The young girl’s three-word answer proved Brie’s doubts wrong and proved that God is real.

“I just know,” the young girl answered.

“I just know”

Those three words spoke to Brie’s heart. He is real because we just know. And we know that He is real because of His great love for us.

“That all-consuming love language tells me He is real. So when doubt tries to come, my spirit laughs in a tiny, musical voice, and it says, ‘I just know.’ I just know. And after His truth came out of my 4-year-old’s mouth, I don’t think I’ll ever doubt again.”
