A man with cerebral palsy quickly wanted to repent and trust Jesus after hearing the Gospel from Christian evangelist Ray Comfort.

Sharing The Gospel To A Man With Cerebral Palsy

Just as Christian evangelist Ray Comfort often does in his ministry, he approached a stranger to share the Gospel. In one of his videos from last December, he walked up to a man with cerebral palsy named Ivan.

Ivan admitted that he used to believe in God when he lived with his grandparents. However, after moving out from their care, he also lost touch with his faith. He mentioned that he couldn’t read the Bible because he didn’t know where to start. So, the evangelist advised him to begin with the Gospel of John.

The Hope Found In Jesus Christ

Soon, Ray started to share the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ with him. He shared Romans 6:23, “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

The evangelist then asked Ivan if he thought he was a good person, to which he claimed to be one. Initially, he confidently asserted that he kept the Ten Commandments of God when Ray asked him. However, after Ray followed up with a few questions, he changed his mind.

Ivan honestly shared how he had lied a few times and even looked at a woman with lust in his eyes. Ray clarified that sin doesn’t start with one’s actions but in the mind, emphasizing, “That’s how high God’s standards are.”

Realizing he couldn’t match God’s standards, Ivan knew he was guilty, leading him to the realization that sinners are punished for eternity in hell. It was then that Ray shared with him the way out—the hope of mankind, Jesus Christ.

As Ray shared God’s love for him, Ivan changed his mind, quickly desired to repent, and accepted Jesus into his heart.

What Does the Bible Say?

“Bear fruits in keeping with repentance. And do not begin to say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our father.’ For I tell you, God is able from these stones to raise up children for Abraham.” Luke 3:8

Within the depths of your soul, there exists a longing for true transformation and renewal. Like many you may yearn for a fresh start, a cleansing of your heart, and a return to the fullness of life that God intended for you. In your pursuit of this profound transformation, you will encounter a pivotal step: repentance.

Repentance invites you to confront the brokenness within and acknowledge the areas where you may have strayed from God’s perfect plan. It requires humility, honesty, and a willingness to lay your sins before the feet of your merciful Savior. Do not allow the weight of past mistakes or the entanglements of sin to hold you captive any longer. Turn to the One who is faithful and just, the One who forgives and restores. Experience the freedom that comes through true repentance and surrender.

A woman who wrote her sins to repent and surrender everything encounters Jesus, and she has never been the same again.

Abusive Environment

Janet Garcia’s parents divorced when she was at an early age. For that reason, she grew up having to go back and forth to her mom and dad’s house. And because she had an alcoholic mother, other family members often abused her. They often accuse her that she’s “just like her mother.” Meanwhile, Janet’s mother kept making empty promises to take her back with her.

As a result of Janet’s childhood trauma and pain, she searched for love everywhere. And despite going to church, she struggled to deal with feelings of rejection, especially in a legalistic church. So, at 13 years old, she left the church and began going out with friends who influenced her to drink alcohol.

Keeping Busy

Later on, authorities finally placed Janet in a foster care family. There, she began thriving in a stable environment. However, when her foster parents separated, it drew her deeper to loneliness, bitterness and resentment.

As a young adult, Janet hated vacations and breaks because she would be reminded she had no one to go home to. Hence, she kept herself busy with several jobs to forget her past.

After going to college, she joined the Marines and spent eight years in the military. She once again attended church, but feelings of guilt and shame from her past resurfaced again. She kept hearing voices telling her that she didn’t belong to the church.

Writing Down Her Sins

Then she met Frank, who showed her unconditional love and married him. They both began going to church after their daughter was born. That’s when they met loving and caring people for the first time. Soon, Janet’s whole family accepted Christ and got baptized.

And as soon as Janet grew in her faith by reading the Bible, she struggled to keep up to the standard of righteousness. It was because she couldn’t get over her childhood traumas. Her past painful memories as a child trapped her. So, she kept comparing herself with others and often thought she was too sinful. But soon, God led Janet to repentance. She wrote down all her sins on the paper, and Jesus suddenly entered the room.

John Perkins’ Final Message As He Waits For Death Is ‘Repent’

John Perkins is dying of cancer, and his final message is “repent.”

John Perkins

At the age of 91, the well-known Christian minister is dying of cancer. As he waits for his coming home in heaven, he left a final message for America, and that is to repent. He is urging everyone in America to repent of their sins and turn to God.

“Repentance is the only way back to God. Unless you repent, you will all perish,” John said in an interview with The Christian Post. “That was the story of Jonah to Nineveh. They repented. They repented.”

And for revival to happen in America, John believes that Christians must first learn to suffer well. In His final book, “Count It All Joy: The Ridiculous Paradox Of Suffering,” he explained how essential suffering is for us to deliver the US from social afflictions.

“This is the great paradox of suffering! Suffering drives us deeper in Him. Suffering drives the roots of our faith deep, deep into the reservoir of His sufficiency. With each new privilege to suffer, our roots go even deeper in Him,” John wrote.

Suffering & Repentance

When we finally come to a deep understanding of who He is, we are strengthened and we bare fruit. We are strengthened to face everything that may come our way and we bear fruits so that others can taste and see who God is.

“And before you know it we have become like the tree that David spoke of in Psalm 1. We become ‘like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither—whatever they do prospers (Ps. 1:3). Not only are we strengthened to ready ourselves for the next storm, but we also produce fruit that shelters, nourishes, and encourages others,” he adds.

John himself has been through so much suffering throughout his life. He has lost his mother when he was still an infant, one of his brothers was killed after World War II and his sister died due to domestic violence. He has experienced racial hatred that led him to flee from his hometown.

John and his wife have also been battling terminal cancer for years. And the most painful thing he has experienced is when he had to bury his two sons. However, every pain he has suffered led him to learn more about who God is.

“I want more than anything to encourage others to know that you can live a life of sacrifice, loving your enemies, doing good, and suffering for His name. And at the end of it all, He promises paradoxical, inexpressible joy.”

Do You Ever Get Angry And Feel Guilty?

Have you ever felt guilty when you get angry and when you mention it to someone you trust, they say, “You are worrying about nothing…it’s okay to get angry.”, but your guilt remains?

You have the idea that you are judging, but you have no idea about what the judgment could be! You feel insecure. You feel like you don’t have a steady path to walk on when involved in a dispute, and when you do feel sure footed you land up hurting people. You feel insecure when you want to complain or do complain. It’s like you don’t know where your boundaries end and someone else’s begins. You try to minimize things but you get confused or confuse people. You don’t handle conflicts well. You jump around and land up conceding victory to those you have disputes with because the only emotion you feel is intense guilt. People think you are a people pleaser.

And you are sure they are correct.

So, how does one diagnose such a behavior pattern? One needs to understand the anatomy of a stronghold sin. So, how can we heal it? There are many forces at play here!

First, you are getting guilty for good reason. You are likely unaware of what causes the guilt because it is in your subconscious very likely learned years ago from parents or teachers together with Satan.

One thing for sure, you learned a behavior that sticks to the anger. But what could it be? Who taught you this? Jesus knows, so ask him… maybe? But you don’t hear God’s voice outside Scripture too well like other people do. Maybe getting books on how to hear God’s voice more clearly would help (I think this to be a healthy thing: try these two authors: Brad Jersak or Mark Virkler).

Fact is, I had the above diagnoses for years. People judged me as weak and rightly so. They didn’t listen to my words but they listened to the energy within me and wrote me off as a vehicle without meaning.

For sure, I had some friends who saw some beauty in me, loved me and cared for me. But I wanted to grow in love, grow strongly in love. If you look at the Bible for answers it points to Jesus and His Message. Not just a historical figure, but an ever present helper in times of trouble.

If anything be true, I was the worst of sinners. But I had faith in Jesus. I also had a huge mess in my heart, and branches piercing my spiritual vision. I needed very specialized tools to dismantle the strongholds of sin in my life. And as I searched the Scriptures, listened to the body of Christ and reasoned with God I started to learn how to confess my sins, repent from my sins in prayer and give up the sin attitudes deep within myself.

So, what caused my guilt when I got angry week after week? For me it was mixing my meanness with my anger. This marriage of meanness with anger was so well conceived that I could not see the meanness. But as God showed me more of what was in my heart, he brought healing to me with it.

Christ Is My Righteousness

Jesus’ Righteousness is an attribute made possible for us through faith in and grace from Jesus. In Evangelical circles this usually means that Jesus’ Righteousness is attributed to us positionally and that our own righteousness is as filthy rags. In other words, God sees Jesus’ Righteousness when He looks at us instead of our filthy rags because of our faith in Jesus. There is truth in this interpretation. But there are more riches to be found in these words.

In John 15, Jesus says that He is the True Vine and that we His followers are the branches. And that when we abide in Him we will bear good fruit (His Righteousness). In other words we are hollow conduits that God fills with His grace: His empowering presence, that flows through us so our branches bear good fruit to the glory of God. We bear good fruit; we don’t produce it.

The good fruit is God’s Righteousness!

There many things that can impede the flow of Jesus’ grace through us! Things such as pride, judging, jealousy, condemning, criticizing, lies, hating, impatience, enjoying serious sins, etc. The key to ridding oneself of these blockages of sin is to fully repent God’s way. All these sins can be aimed at our neighbors and ourselves. But even if we properly get rid of such sin strongholds against our neighbors and ourselves. We can still miss someone very important! Namely: God! So, how do we know whether we are judging God or not? We can easily point to our loyalty to Jesus as evidence that we are innocent. Is this enough evidence though? No! Fact is we can easily believe and say “no we aren’t judging God” and yet be mistaken. The Old Testament says about the Israelites that they refused to believe in the goodness of God by murmuring against Him. And that is what kept them in the desert for forty-years. When we criticize and blame God and are negative and resentful towards Him, then we are judging Him. When we are full of self-pity and the belief that things are unfair, then we are sinfully murmuring and judging against God.

God is absolutely Good and fully Righteous. There is none higher! When we feel things are unfair we need to process our feelings and talk with God, getting in touch with Him who died for us and let Him clean us up with His blood and our faith. We need to see with the Light of the world: Jesus who is the only way to the Father.

If we are in the habit of judging God, then we are blocking the grace that enables us to love everyone supernaturally. If we are judging God and at the same time believe He is our Righteousness. Then in reality we are blocking God’s true Righteousness from flowing through us and are left only with our filthy rags: Things such as pride, judging, jealousy, condemning, criticizing, lies, hating, impatience, enjoying serious sins, etc.

No matter how we wish we didn’t we will visit these sins on all our neighbors. We will hurt a lot of people while thinking God is our Righteousness, but being in error. God isn’t hard on us. He is patient and loving. Waiting for us to come to Him in healthy humility to be taught to properly repent from our sins so His Righteousness shines through us with God getting the glory!

Discover The Eye-Opening Meaning Of The Hebrew Word ‘Repent’

As we uncover more of the Hebrew words we read from the Bible, we found deeper and more powerful meanings behind every word. So, for today, let us explore the origin of the word ‘repent’ based on Biblical Hebrew.

Hebrew Word of Repent

The word ‘repent’ has been used in modern churches to imply the people’s need for a change of heart. But, interestingly, ‘repent’ was first seen in the Bible as used by God. Genesis 6:6-7 says, “And it repented the Lord that He had made man on the earth, and it grieved Him at His heart. And the Lord said, ‘I will destroy man whom I have created.. for it repenteth Me that I have made them.'”

‘Repent’ is translated from the conventional Hebrew, “sheenbeyt.” It means “to return” or “to turn about.”

“Sheenbeyt” is from the two words, “sheen” and “beyt.” We are going to base their definition on the picture meaning of the words.

“Sheen” in ancient Hebrew is pictured as “teeth.” It means “to consume,” “to press,” or “to destroy.” While “beyt’s” picture meaning is a house or a tent. Thus, the Hebrew word sheenbeyt has a different concept than its English translation. It literally means “destroying or burning the house down.” Or in other words, it is burning or destroying the place you are living in and then turn around and leave.

So, when we apply the Hebrew meaning of repent in our lives, it is destroying where we once are and never returning. It must be crushed, burned, and destroyed so that there is no more reason to return. Sadly, there are still some who try to live in a charred and ashen place.

Now that we have known of its impactful interpretation, we should put weight on repentance. And totally burn and destroy who we were, the unrighteous things we had done, and living outside God’s will. 2 Corinthians 5:17 says, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!”

Meet The Man By The Well

There on a dusty road

He waited for her

The son of God on heavenly mission

Still he waited for one.

Not to mock & belittle

But to water her thirsty heart.

Dazed & confused, she mused

Could it be?

Could my wretched heart be loved?

Could my lost soul be saved?

Could my dastard mind be schooled?

His words overshadow her failures

His light chases out her darkness

And He does it million times over.

What kind of love is this?

Not a soul deserved it.

Yet He lavished it on every soul.

The last nail on His cross

Still echoes the cry of His love.

And He waits again

On your lonely dusty road

Waiting to show you

His love is inexhaustible.

He knows you walked this road before

Failed & gambled again.

But would you try again?

Drag yourself to the well.

Meet the man, the son, the friend, the savior

The father, the advocate, the judge

The mystery that brings clarity

The beauty that blinds out your misery.

For it is not over for you

It is never over

Not when an empty tomb sits here.

Are You Hungry for the Truth?

Are you hungry for the Truth and the Word of God? God wants us, His children, to seek Him with all our hearts. He said, “But seek (aim at and strive after) first of all His kingdom and His righteousness (His way of doing and being right), and then all these things taken together will be given you besides.” (Matthew 6:33)

In Amos 5:4 He goes one step further and says, “For thus says the Lord to the house of Israel: Seek Me [inquire for and of Me and require Me as you require food] and you shall live!”

One Gospel Many Versions

The truth is that today there are many versions of the Gospel being taught today. Some focus on the law, others on grace. There are also those who change the interpretation of Bible verses to suit their own philosophies. Some dilute the Word of God so much, their teachings sound like new age religions of the world. Many ‘Christians’ today live contrary to the Gospel and are not hungry for the Truth. Some are ‘namesake’ Christians while some are genuine who uphold God’s standards.

Mark 3:25 says, “And if a house is divided (split into factions and rebelling) against itself, that house will not be able to last.” This could be said about the Body of Christ. They disagree on important doctrines and matters of faith.

Uphold God’s Standards

Jesus said about the Pharisees of His time in Mark 7:8-9, “You have let go of the commands of God and are holding on to human traditions. And He continued, “You have a fine way of setting aside the commands of God in order to observe your own traditions!” We need to take God’s Word seriously and seek Him to know what He is saying. If we don’t, we can get carried away by teachings that are contrary to what Jesus said. This is very serious as it can rob us of our place in heaven eternally.

In Matthew 25:12 Jesus says to some believers, “‘I solemnly declare to you, I do not know you [I am not acquainted with you].’ Jesus says, ‘Many will say to Me on that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name and driven out demons in Your name and done many mighty works in Your name? And then I will say to them openly (publicly), I never knew you; depart from Me, you who act wickedly [disregarding My commands].'” (Matthew 7:22-23)

A House Divided

It is sad when factions do the opposite of what Jesus taught and war with each other. They bring discredit and tarnish the name of Jesus Who said, “Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.” (Matthew 5:44) These fighting ‘believers’ need to learn what God says and make amends with their fellow Christians. God has called us to be peacemakers and work towards unity so that His name is lifted high.

For this reason, it is important that every believer seeks the Lord with all their hearts. In John 10:27, Jesus says, “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.” And in Isaiah 54:13, God promises that He Himself will teach His children, “All your [spiritual] children shall be disciples [taught by the Lord and obedient to His will].”

Be Mature Christians, Hungry For Truth

Jesus said, “You, therefore, must be perfect [growing into complete maturity of godliness in mind and character, having reached the proper height of virtue and integrity], as your heavenly Father is perfect.” (Matthew 5:48) Imagine standing before God on the Day of Judgment and saying, “Lord I didn’t know!”, or “Lord they didn’t teach me about this!”

This is why it is good to read the Bible. It is good to know for oneself what the Lord has said in His Word. Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal the Truth so you won’t be ashamed on the day you stand before God.

Hungry: Revere God and Obey Him

Paul says in Philippians 2:12, “Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.” The Amplified Bible gives us the meaning of “fear and trembling” as “self-distrust, with serious caution, tenderness of conscience, watchfulness against temptation, timidly shrinking from whatever might offend God and discredit the name of Christ.”

Finally, Ephesians 5:27 reminds us that Jesus wants to “present the church to Himself in glorious splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such things [that she might be holy and faultless].” May we hear and heed what Jesus is saying to us personally and to the churches today.

Your Choice Can Be Used Against You – Lessons from Norma McCorvey

Many of us know about the landmark Roe vs Wade case in which the US Supreme Court struck down a Texas statute making abortion legal across the United States in 1973. This ‘historic decision’ facilitated the termination of more than 50 million lives since that time. This is a shocking figure compared to the 6 million Jews & 11 million others who perished in the Holocaust. Very few people know the circumstances in which Norma McCorvey made the decision to abort her baby and how she was led to filing the case.

Norma McCorvey: An Uninformed Decision

It was not her idea in the first place. Many of those who vociferously fight for or against abortion don’t know that ultimately Norma did not abort her baby, she gave the baby for adoption. She said she agreed to file the case because she was paid, she needed the money. There are many talking about her depending on which side of the issue they stand on. Some even claim that the pro-life movement paid her to speak against abortion.

The Conversion of Norma McCorvey

Overwhelming Guilt & Salvation

What is tragic about Norma’s story is that she had no clue what she was getting into. When she was confronted with the fact that millions of babies were killed, it dawned on her that she too was responsible for those deaths. She felt horrible when she saw empty playgrounds. The guilt of being part of the crime of taking the lives of those unborn and assisting in the pro-abortion clinic took a toll on her.

However, Norma McCorvey found hope in Jesus. We know that Jesus didn’t shun the repentant criminal who was crucified next to Him. Jesus said to him, “Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise.” ‘(Luke 23:43) Norma repented and asked for the Lord’s forgiveness. As 2 Corinthians 5:17 promises, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!” she received Jesus and became a new creation.

Norma McCorvey: Lessons & Warnings for Us

The video above shares Norma’s journey to find the truth, her salvation, and how she tried to make amends for the destructive trend she began. However, there are several lessons we can learn from Norma’s life. Ignoring this warning will be detrimental to us.

Seeing how she was made a pawn in this deadly game, we need to realize that people who want to take advantage of us will never tell us the whole truth. Today we know that fake news stories are misleading millions of people. These stories have been doctored to sway our minds and hearts. When we fall for their lies and half-truths, tragically it is we who end up becoming losers. Like Norma, it is possible we won’t know until it is too late. Our rights and our future is at stake.

God wants to protect us

God gave us His instructions so that we could be free from guilt and grief since these self-demeaning acts affect us and others too. The culture of this world threw away fidelity, encourages promiscuous behavior, and adultery so much that it has become the norm. As a result of one night stands and temporary ‘hook-ups’, women end up having ‘unwanted pregnancies’ and seek abortion as a ‘solution.’

Today it is a well-known fact that the women who abort a baby do face grief, loss, anxiety, guilt, and many emotional or psychological stress symptoms. Research has shown that even men can feel overwhelmed, experience disturbing thoughts about abortion, and have feelings of grief and loss. Thankfully, those who suffer this grief can now repent and find healing. Moreover, it is important that young people are encouraged to live godly and wholesome lives.

Amends & Restitution

Grievous acts have spiritual consequences. Adam & Eve’s sins brought curses on them. Taking Abel’s life brought a curse on Cain too. Speaking to Sid Roth, Kevin Zadai said a curse had come upon America due to Roe vs Wade, which can break when it is overturned. He said, it is important every American citizen votes conscientiously in the coming elections, America’s future depends on it.

If you have gone away from Jesus, you can repent and return to Him, He will forgive you. Romans 3:23 says, “All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” Romans 5:8 says, “God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

Seek the Lord’s forgiveness for what you have done and begin a new chapter in your life. He is waiting for you!
